Sonia

My name is Sonia Hopkins, and I am British.

I lived in England for 30 years and have been in Spain for 16 years.

I am Bilingual thanks to having a Spanish mother and an English father.

This year I will have the great honour of joining the class of 3/6 year olds.

Since I arrived in Spain, I have dedicated myself to teaching children in nurseries, academies, and schools.

I took a course to obtain the Montessori assistant certificate and it was there that I discovered my great admiration for María Montessori and her educational style.

Children possess an once-in-a-lifetime ability to simply absorb information and concepts from their environment and I feel incredibly fortunate to be a part of this journey.

It is not the first time that I have worked at Toy Box. In 2012 I was an assistant, so I am very excited to be part of the team again and to be able to work in this prepared, orderly, simple, and real environment where each element helps the development of your child.
